R&D Engineer (Mechanical)

DesignBuild Search are working closely with a rapidly expanding Mechanical specialist who have an opening for a Junior Engineer/R&D Engineer in Mayo. Our client is providing anew evolution in ventilation systems. It is pre-insulated with flame retardant foam to reduce onsite labour and easily push-fits together onsite.

Essential Criteria:
• Hons Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in mechanical design or building services engineering an advantage
• Advanced user of SolidWorks; proficient in Revit and BIM coordination
• Experience with CAD automation tools (e.g. DriveWorks)
• Openness to adopting new ways of working, including future AI tools and approaches to enhance efficiency, accuracy and innovation in daily design tasks
• Strong ability to create reports and instructional guides
• Strong creative thinking, problem identifying and problem-solving skills
• Strong team player with good communication skills
• Knowledge of Product development & evaluation
• Legally permitted to work in the EU; fluent English for business purposes.
 
Core tasks (Not limited to)
• Attend weekly meetings to present progress of R&D projects
• Follow and develop R&D processes
• Update and manage the project GANTT chart to hit targets and plan the priority of R&D projects with R&D Manager
• Carry out relevant research to ensure the latest technologies are applied
• To be proactive and creative within the R&D Department
• Update R&D Manager on progress at weekly meetings
• Develop and monitor KPIs for R&D Department
