Senior Project Manager

Design Build Search is seeking a Senior Project Manager on behalf of our client, an Irish-owned full-service project management and quantity surveying practice based in Co. Laois.

Our client has been operating in the construction industry for over 35 years. The have built an excellent reputation over the years, and have grown to become an expert when it comes to client satisfaction and high standards.

This role is best suited to an individual who has local consultancy experience, preferably within the residential, educational, healthcare, and Fit-out sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Manage site staff and all contractors
• Proposing suitable changes to design to improve saving, ease construction programme, enhance specification and quality completion.
• Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials
• Plan, maintain and control finical administration of all construction work in obtain and
• Maintain maximum cost effectiveness.
• Co-ordinate and liaise with Directors, Project Managers, Site Engineers and services Co-coordinator to ensure that all subcontractors and site personnel have timely and accurate information.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specification, building regulations and good building practice.
• Check and understand all drawings and specification. Ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in timely manner.
• Establish project resource requirements and lead motivate the project team
• Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory obligations
• Responsible for Health and Safety

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 8+ years’ experience in similar or related field
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Previous experience working with a local Consultancy Practice
