A leading international technical engineering and construction partner has an opportunity for a Safety Coordinator that will support the Pre-Construction EHS Lead in coordinating
Environmental, Health and Safety requirements across tender, design, pre-construction, mobilisation and project handover stages.
Working closely with EHS, Design, Planning, Commercial, Procurement and Project teams, the role will support the early identification and management of EHS requirements, risks and compliance obligations across international projects. The position will also support the development and maintenance of Pre-Construction EHS systems, documentation, compliance registers and project
controls.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the Pre-Construction EHS Lead in coordinating EHS requirements across tender, design, pre-construction, mobilisation and project handover stages.
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of project-specific EHS plans, documentation and mobilisation requirements.
  • Support EHS responses for tenders, PQQs, client submissions and presentations, including coordination of supporting evidence and information.
  • Prepare and maintain project and country-specific EHS compliance registers, statutory
  • requirement trackers and associated actions.
  • Support the identification and management of EHS and design risks during pre-construction, including maintenance of design-risk registers and action tracking.
  • Maintain Pre-Construction EHS systems, registers, trackers and Project Control System (PCS) information, ensuring records remain accurate and current.
  • Coordinate EHS requirements associated with work packages, including relevant RAMS, lift plans, risk assessments, SOPs and toolbox-talk requirements where applicable.
  • Support project mobilisation readiness and coordinate the structured handover of EHS
  • information to project delivery teams.
  • Gather and maintain data for Pre-Construction EHS reporting, KPIs, dashboards and continuous- improvement activities.
  • Work collaboratively with EHS, Design, Planning, Commercial, Procurement, Operations, project teams, clients and supply-chain partners to support effective early identification and management of EHS requirements.

Experience

  • 2–3 years EHS experience, preferably within construction or engineering.
  • Good understanding of construction activities, EHS legislation and risk management.
  • Experience with EHS documentation, reporting and working across project teams.
  • Pre-construction, tender, design, mobilisation or international project experience is
  • advantageous.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Construction, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Recognised professional EHS qualification such as NEBOSH or equivalent is desirable.
  • Membership of IOSH, IIRSM, IEMA or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive, practical and able to work independently while escalating significant issues
  • Appropriately.
