Safety Advisor – Dublin City – Electrical Contractor
Working for a highly reputable Electrical Contractor in the Commercial Construction Industry, we have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Safety Advisor for Dublin City and surrounding areas. This role will support the business on projects for all safety related matters. You will work closely with Site Managers and Project Managers and all associated project staff.
Roaming between different sites week to week you will have a forward thinking and progressive approach to safety. You will have a proven background of setting up teams for success and building professional trusted relationships. Passionate about safety and people, a collaborative approach is welcomed. Responsibilities to include:

• Ensure workplaces are audited / risk reviewed in line with current safety legislation and standards.
• Carry out weekly site safety inspections and audits.
• Compiling and maintaining records and reports as part of the online EHS system.
• Monitor Health and Safety performance within the Business Unit and prepare appropriate reports.
• Assist tender and prequalification teams where requested advising on Health and Safety submissions as well as helping provide practical solutions.
• Identify learning and development requirements for yourself as well as those of staff who report to you, coaching staff at all levels in Health and Safety expectations and standards
• Working knowledge of ISO and HSQE regulations and legislation for the construction sector.

Experience Required:

• Proven experience in a health and safety position within the electrical construction industry
• A third level qualification in health and safety/occupational health and safety.
• Excellent written/verbal communication, time management and organisation Skills
• Full drivers licence and ability to drive for the role
