Design Build Search are working with a rapidly expanding E&I contractor who continue to expand throughout Europe. Due to growth across their pharma and DC division they have an opening for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Denmark. The successful applicant will work across two project in the Copenhagen region. Within this position you will get support from the site based Commercial Manager and the Irish HQ.

Data centre, pharma and industrial
Minimum:
Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field
7 years post college experience
5+ years Electrical experience
5+ years on DC, Pharma and Industrial experience
Ability to mentor Junior staff
Responsibilities include:
Electrical Cost Management
- Collaborate closely with the estimation team to review and validate electrical cost estimates for each project.
- Manage all aspects of electrical cost control and identify potential commercial risks and ensure prompt reporting of same to management.
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor and track electrical project costs, including variations, change orders, and progress payments both upstream and downstream.
Quantity Surveying
- Collaborate with the estimation / BIM team to ensure accurate quantity take-offs and bills of quantities for electrical systems and installations in each project.
- Review electrical drawings and specification revisions to ensure any changes are identified.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess electrical work progress, validate quantities, and address any discrepancies.
- Evaluate subcontractor’s claims and prepare reports on quantities, rates, and payment applications.
Contract Administration
- Administer the contract for each project in collaboration with the project team, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Review and analyse contractual agreements, identifying key contractual obligations, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage the contractual correspondence, including change orders, claims, and dispute resolution, in coordination with the project team.
