Design Build Search are working with a leading M&E Contractor who have extended growth plans for 2025 and 2026. Due to securing new work and ongoing work with leading multi national clients across the DC and pharma sectors they an opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
The successful applicant will join a high functioning collaborative commercial team, this position will offer structure career progression and mentorship to the successful applicant.
Minimum:
• Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or related engineering discipline. Experience in Pharmaceutical projects is advantageous, demonstrating your understanding of industry best practices and technologies.
• 3+ years of experience in an estimating role with high value Projects.
• Design build experience and experience working on projects with live environments would be beneficial.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office systems required
• Experience using estimating software such as Total Estimating or similar.
• Demonstrated appetite for continuous learning and personal development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Preparing and generating of monthly interim valuations & accounts
• Processing and updating mechanical bills of quantities
• Assisting with the issuing of monthly interim accounts
• Compiling project variations & monitoring expenditure vs tender cost allowance
• Material procurement based on MTOs provider by BIM and Engineering team
• Reviewing materials stocks, processing orders and understanding stock material certifications
• Processing and understanding field bulletins (cost details on contract variations), based on agreed rates and backup information from field engineering and construction supervision

• Developing and agreeing project unit rate costs increases, in consideration of contractual annual cost adjustment clauses
