DesignBuild Search are working with one of Irelands leading Civil contractors. Due to continued growth they have openings for a Quantity Surveyor on a project In Ringaskiddy, Cork. The successful applicant will get the opportunity to work on significant civil and infrastructure projects. Within this position you will get the opportunity to work and learn from industry leaders. 

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for our projects.
• Purchasing of plant and materials from requisition stage to approval of invoices, weekly cost reports, assisting with interim payment applications, contract administration, assisting engineer in setting out work and being involved in organising concrete and piling operations on site Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials and services.
• Monitor project costs and progress, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and provide accurate valuations.
