Operations Director, Cork (Developer)

Design Build Search are working with a growing developer in Cork. Due to strategic growth plans they are looking to hire an industry leader within the residential sector. This successful applicant will take full operational responsibility of the company. The successful applicant will have previous experience in scaling a business and overseeing various department. The success applicant will have full support with a great structure already in place.

Minimum:
Degree in architecture, engineering, quantity surveing or related field
Previous experience within an ops director position or construction director
20+ years industry experience
Previous experience growing a business
P&L management experience
Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior leadership or general management role in the residential sector
• Experience of managing multi-million residential projects or framework agreements in an industrial setting
• Proven ability to foster strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management
• Experience in managing Profit & Loss, budgets, and financial performance
• Knowledge of industry standards, HSE and quality compliance
• Strong commercial and contracts acumen
• Ability to adapt swiftly to changing requirements and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

 
Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing the company’s strategic plan to achieve growth, profitability and long-term objectives in the ireland.
• Identifying new opportunities for market expansion and diversification of
• Monitoring industry trends and maintaining the company’s competitive position in the residential sector, ensuring the company is positioned for sustainable growth.
• Leading, motivating and guiding operational and sales teams to achieve and exceed performance targets.
• Setting clear objectives and measurable goals, tracking progress and providing continuous support to ensure team success.
• Overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective execution of projects and that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards
• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence whilst ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental and quality standards
• Implementing systems and processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Maintaining and enhancing operational metrics in line with the company’s Business Management System, ensuring consistent review and action where applicable
