Design Build Search is working with a leading construction company that has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join their team in the Greater Dublin area. This role is perfect for a professional with hands-on experience in mechanical site supervision, installation, and commissioning, who is looking to take on a key leadership role in managing high-profile construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Use the Procore Construction Software package to review and analyse blueprints and floor plans, ensuring a clear understanding of the mechanical design layout.
- Identify any issues during prestart meetings with the Senior Project Manager.
- Supervise the installation of mechanical systems, including piping and fixtures for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
- Lead the site operatives and apprentices, with support from the Operations Manager.
- Liaise with contractors, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure coordination and clear communication across all parties.
- Educate site operatives on safety protocols and accident procedures.
- Regularly inspect sites to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Respond to site accidents in accordance with established accident protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of site activities and progress.
- Ensure quality workmanship from staff and sub-contractors, in line with MGME’s Quality Assurance Standards.
- Raise notices to the main contractor for any on-site issues or delays encountered.
- Work closely with the procurement team to manage material orders and delivery logistics.
- Oversee testing and commissioning activities as requested by the Senior Project Manager, Quality Assurance, and commissioning teams.
- Document all Requests for Information (RFIs), damage, theft, and out-of-scope work through Procore.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to safeguard the wellbeing of yourself, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure all company standards, policies, and procedures are maintained at all times.
- Undertake any other duties as required by the Manager or Senior Management Team.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a Time-Served Plumber with relevant qualifications.
- Have experience in a similar Site Supervisory role.
- Be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Have the ability to perform under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Possess a solid working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Hold a full, clean driving licence.
- Be flexible and open to travelling to various MGME project sites.
- Hold valid safety certifications and documentation.
