Construction Environmental Compliance Manager – Dublin
Design Build Search has teamed up with a proven construction business in Dublin. Due to an increase in project workload there is an opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Environmental Compliance Manager to work on a large construction project in the Dublin area. This role is responsible for protecting environmental standards across the site and ensuring compliance with legislative, planning, and permit requirements. The role involves direct engagement with local stakeholders, and the wider construction and operations teams.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong on-site presence through site walkovers, toolbox talks, inductions and trainings;
- Carry out Environmental compliance audits and inspections;
- Record and close out environmental incidents;
- Enforce environmental requirements and best practices;
- Auditing of onsite waste management programme;
- Contributing to the on-going development and improvement of environmental management processes and procedures for the project;
- Review environmental documentation (CEMPs, RAMS, method statements) to ensure risks are identified and managed;
To Be Considered
- BSc or BA (Hons) degree in environmental science or related discipline.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in an environmental role, with experience in construction environmental compliance auditing beneficial.
- Must not be EHS-only qualified – applicants must have a dedicated environmental background.
- Experience in auditing and inspecting
- Strong understanding of Irish environmental legislation and permitting.
- Self-motivated, organised and capable of working on their own initiative on a busy construction project.
- Excellent communication skills – comfortable liaising, meeting and dealing with clients, contractors and other team members on a day-to-day basis.
- Proficient with MS Office
- Full Clean Driving Licence
