Electrical Engineer, West Dublin

DesignBuild Search are working with a multi-disciplinary engineering specialist who are growing across the health and data centre sectors. They now have an opening for an experienced commissioning engineer to join their team. This position offers structured career progression in a high performing team. Within this job you will involved in the commissioning of generator plant with various types and complexities of controllers such as (ComAp, APM, Easy Gen, Woodward, DSE,etc)

Minimum:

• Electrician qualified
• 5 years’ experience in the power generation industry
• Controller knowledge (ComAp, EasyGen)
• Field bus communication (ModBus/CANBus)
• Mechanical knowledge or at least a keen interest in mechanical systems
• Electrical CAD knowledge
• G10/EGIP knowledge
• Switchgear control and operation experience
• Cable sizing, volt drop calculations
• Be willing to build small control panels and programme controllers
• Being able to construct Cable block diagrams, single line diagrams, control philosophies

Requirements:

• You will work in the Projects Team on the commissioning side from basic 2 wire start generators to complex Hospital and Data Centre projects
• On site commissioning of Generator PLC systems with other electrical/mechanical commissioning engineers
• Investigate and provide technical advice and support to other engineers
• Attend control system hardware and software FAT’s and training inside and outside of Ireland
• Understanding of Panel drawings
• Have the ability to work to strict deadlines
• Good analytical & problem solving skills
• Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to work well with others and on their own initiative in a multi-discipline environment
• Be organised and adaptable with a flexible approach
• Be willing to train personnel on specific automation aspects of the equipment.
• You will also be required to work as a project engineer/manager when projects are between commissioning works.
