Commercial Manager, Laois

DesignBuild Search are working with one of Irelands leading Civil contractors. Due to successfully winning several large projects they have an opening for a Civil Commercial Manager. The successful applicant will be working from our clients Laois office. In this position you will be managing all commercial aspects of the project whilst working in tandem with the project management and projects director.

Requirements:
Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying
10+ years with a main contactor
involved in projects value more than €15m

Key responsibilities:
Implement commercial strategy

• Overseeing the commercial team whilst supporting the Senior Commercial Manager in the delivery of key responsibilities and develop their knowledge through training, development and support
• Supervise the preparation of Cost Plans for complex projects, using a range of 
  cost planning techniques and software, managing the compilation of data to 
  permit various analyses
• Prepare long term cash forecasts for complex projects, monitors results and interpret reasons for deviations, using established techniques to minimise 
  outflow of cash and maximise inflow
• Identify unacceptable terms and conditions and negotiate contracts with clients 
  and employers
