Design Build Search is seeking a Bid Manager on behalf of our client, a global multi-disciplinary consultancy, offering a wide variety of engineering and sustainability services.

Our client is recognised as a world-leading expert in innovative and sustainable design engineering. The Marketing and Bid Team plays a critical role across the global business – working within 29 locations, 22 services and 20 sectors!

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading Ireland-based bids for the Dublin office, taking ownership of the bid process and associated work-winning activities.This role is being offered on a 14-month fixed term contract basis.

Requirements:

  • Ownership and leadership through entire bid process for effective submission
  • Day-to-day bid contact for global marketing team
  • Working with local senior staff to identify improvement areas and raise standards of submissions
  • Credible point of contact for senior and junior staff within the business and externally
  • Take a leading role in the global marketing and business development effort
  • Deliver bids and tenders in InDesign and Word. Competent use of InDesign is an essential requirement for this role.
  • Drive and reinforce bid strategy, management and deliverables throughout
  • Manage the bid process to completion, working with Marketing team and senior technical staff to write, develop and refine bespoke responses
  • Thoroughly quality check tender documents prior to submission via electronic portal, digital submissions and / or hard copy
  • Support development and maintenance of library of current bid information including CVs, project profiles and best practice example responses
  • Ad-hoc management of junior Submissions team members on all bid-related information
  • Analyse trends and feedback from submissions team across local region, work with and present to sector leaders as necessary to establish local strategy and targets
  • Lead workshops and create presentations in MS PowerPoint

Requirements:

  • Five years experience of working in a bid writing/marketing/business development role
  • Proven experience of working in a professional services and/or consultancy environment
  • Experience of working strategically and independently, coordinating closely with multiple stakeholders to achieve objectives
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong experience with a range of industrystandard programs (MS Office, SharePoint, Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu etc)

Qualifications:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in relevant field
  • Post-graduate qualification in a business and/or marketing-related discipline (desirable)
  • APMP Foundation member (desirable)
