Tell us about your background?

I originally started recruiting in the Healthcare Industry in Ireland before moving to Australia. In Australia I focused on the construction industry and have continued to do so ever since.  

How did you get into recruitment?

I studied Business and Marketing, recruitment I feel is running your own business and that appealed to me. 

How has your background helped you in your role?

It has helped me to build resilience and confidence. It has allowed me to develop longstanding relationships with clients and candidates and instill trust and collaboration when dealing with complex or challenging issues. 

Why did you chose to join DB Search?

I chose DB Search because I feel DB Search values are aligned with mine. The business sets people up with the tools and resources for success. The culture within the team is authentic and genuine and senior management are very supportive and down to earth. 

What do you like about your role?

I like when I can fulfill client and candidate needs. A career change can have a huge impact on people’s lives and allows them to flourish, as well as the impact to the client when a suitable and driven resource comes on board. For example I have a candidate moving to Galway from Sydney for one of my clients. It will be a big change for him but also very exciting. It feels good to be a part of that. 

I also like the friendships and camaraderie as part of the role. There is the opportunity to build positive connections with clients and candidates. 

There is the opportunity to make attractive commission and position yourself a leader within the team and the business. There are also numerous incentives which are very achievable.
