Senior Contracts Manager, Dublin

DesignBuild Search are working closely with a leading Irish company who are expanding nationwide. Our client is involved in range of commercial, retail and fit-out projects. Due to strong pipeline of work over the next 5 years’, they have an opening for a Senior Contracts Manager/Director. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating between multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications, experience & skills   

  • Relevant industry experience; 5-8 years in a comparable position
  • Quantity Surveying, engineering, architect  
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Design and commercial acumen and financial awareness
  • Effective and comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation & dynamism.
  • Ideally chartered or working towards a relevant professional accreditation.
  • Good negotiation, persuasion and influencing skills
  • Good presentation and Communication skills

 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Advise and report regularly to the CEO on project progression
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to minimise cost and maximise efficiencies
  • Provide commercial input into procurement strategies and evaluations for construction
  • Provide support on technical and commercial aspects of projects  
  • Advise, write and support with project correspondence.
  • Ensure risk registers, variation trackers, extension of time tracker sheets and correspondence logs are kept live and updated
  • Advise on contractual matters and contractual approach with contractors and supply chain
  • Identify contract grounds for claim and determine claim strategy
  • Review notices and contractual correspondence
  • Prepare Claims upstream and review and determine downstream.
  • Manage and responsible for Collateral Warranties, Guarantees, retentions, performance Bonds.
