Site Engineer

Design Build Search is seeking a Site Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading civil contractor based in Co. Limerick.

The selected candidate will be focused on utilities and public realm projects based in Limerick area.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and site team in the successful delivery of works on site
• Interpret technical drawings and project specifications to guide construction activities
• Undertake accurate setting-out duties using GPS and Total Station equipment
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with company quality standards
• Participate in site meetings, helping to resolve technical issues as they arise
• Keep detailed and accurate records of site activities and progress
• Promote and monitor adherence to Health & Safety policies on site
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior project staff

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Site Engineer position, ideally within utilities or public realm projects
• Relevant third-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
• Competent in AutoCAD, MS Project, and standard IT systems
• Practical experience with setting-out equipment including GPS and Total Station
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
• Detail-oriented with a consistent approach to documentation
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
