Senior Energy Consultant – NonDomestic Ber Assessor – Dublin 
Seeking a highly experiencedSenior non-domesticBER assessor. To join the sustainability team. You will have experience in IESV Virtual environment Software For building energy modeling and part L compliance space.
This role involves conducting detailed energy audits and providing strategic energy saving recommendations to a diverse client base. The successful person will work closely with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver high quality compliant and commercially robust energy performance outcome a across a range of non-domestic building types

Responsibilities

  • BER and part L compliance conducting comprehensive building energy rating BER and part L assessments for a variety of non-domestic buildings in according with the non-domestic energy assessment procedure NEAP. 
  • Advanced modeling using IESVE to create High Fidelity 3D Dynamic simulation models for thermal daylighting and overheating analysis including SBEM and associated NCM modeling as required.
  • Technical surveys perform performing detailed on-site surveys of commercial properties to identify HVAC systems building fabric characteristics and lightning configurations and to gather information needed for accurate BER and part L assessments
  • Energy auditing developing energy upgrade road maps and conducting feasibility studies
  • For renewable energy systems and energy efficient retrofits including Technical and financial appraisal of options
  • Client engagement liaison directly with Architects Engineers building owners and other project stakeholders to communicate technical findings and provide actionable energy saving advice and a clear and practical manner
  • Reporting and preparing high quality technical reports ber documentation and financial justifications for proposed Energy Efficiency projects ensuring outputs are aligned with relevant regulation standards and client requirements

Essential requirements

  • Experience with in non-domestic ber assessments or or related field for example Building Services energy engineering or building physics
  • Certification currently registered as a non-domestic ber assessor with the sustainable energy authority of Ireland
  • Education NFQ Level 7 or 8 in engineering clinical electrical or building services architecture or a related construction discipline
  • Software expertise in IESVE virtual environment software for SBEM calculations and dynamic simulation including model set of calibration and results interpretation
  • Regulatory knowledge deep understanding of part L building regulations NEAP  methodology and the SEAI code of practice for non-domestic BER
  • Mobility full Irish driving license and willingness to travel for frequent psych visits nationally
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively to deadlines as part of a collaborative team environment
