Design Build Search are working with an industry leader in the construction and Engineering sector. Due to continued success and growth both domestically and internationally they have opportunities for experienced Quantity Surveyor(s). These positions will require weekly travel to large projects in the Netherlands and Belgium. Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficient in cost control software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Background in industry-specific software such as coins.

 
 
Main Duties and Responsibilities for the Quantity Surveyor:

  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
  • Perform cost analysis for project work.
  • Assist in tendering processes, including preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids.
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports.
  • Prepare interim and final valuations, payment applications, and variations.
  • Administer contracts and ensure compliance with legal and quality standards.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage change control processes and assess the financial impact of changes.
  • Advise on procurement strategies and dispute resolution.
  • Compiling CVR requirements at the end of each month.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Directors and Site Managers to support successful project execution and cost control.
  • Executes the preparation of subcontractor contracts and ensures timely completion of collateral warranties in line with project and legal requirements.
  • Responsible for preparing and submitting valuations and issuing payment certificates to ensure accurate and timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
