MEP Project Manager

The MEP Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination, management, and delivery of all building services (mechanical, electrical, and public health) works on-site, ensuring integration with the overall construction programme and maintaining quality, safety, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the MEP design and installation process from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
  • Liaise with MEP consultants, subcontractors, and in-house construction teams to coordinate works.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions for compliance and buildability.
  • Track programme milestones and ensure MEP packages align with overall project timeline.
  • Oversee site MEP teams and subcontractors, ensuring high standards of quality and productivity.
  • Monitor and manage procurement schedules for MEP equipment and long lead items.
  • Ensure full compliance with Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, and safety legislation.
  • Participate in project progress meetings and provide regular MEP status reports to senior management.
  • Lead commissioning, testing, and client demonstration phases of M&E systems.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • 5–10+ years’ experience in MEP or building services project management, ideally with a main contractor or large M&E subcontractor.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale building projects in Ireland or the UK.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, sequencing, and commissioning.
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, and BIM tools.
  • Knowledge of current Irish construction regulations, health & safety standards, and BCAR compliance.
