Civil Engineer 

About the Company:
Our client is a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of infrastructure, utilities, and groundworks projects across Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Civil Engineer to join their site team and contribute to the successful delivery of current and upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day civil engineering operations on site, reporting to the Site Manager or Project Manager.
  • Assist with setting out, surveying, and ensuring accuracy of site works in line with design specifications.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and site plans to ensure proper implementation on-site.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Monitor progress, quality, and safety on-site, ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation.
  • Support the preparation of progress reports, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure materials and workmanship are in line with project requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 2–5+ years’ experience working with a civil engineering contractor (groundworks, infrastructure, roads, or utilities preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of setting out, surveying tools (e.g. GPS, Total Station), and construction drawings.
  • Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with Irish construction regulations and Health & Safety standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Full clean driving licence required
