Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and development of electrical systems from concept through to detailed design and construction support across high-value projects. You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external consultants to ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical designs including LV and MV power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and standby power systems.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, load calculations, protection coordination, and cable sizing.
• Work with BIM/REVIT and AutoCAD teams to coordinate and integrate designs.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify installation compliance with design intent.
• Ensure all designs meet local regulations, international codes, and project requirements.
• Contribute to QA/QC procedures and design reviews.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within building services or data centres.
• Proficient in electrical design tools (e.g. Amtech, Dialux, Revit, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of BS7671, IEC, or NEC standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
