Design Build Search is partnering with a leading engineering consultancy to recruit a Principal Project Manager – Civil and Environmental Engineering for their Circular Economy team. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a highly experienced Project Manager with at least 15 years of experience, looking to take the next step in their career. Based in Cork, Carlow, or Dublin, the successful candidate will work on a diverse range of projects, including large-scale waste management infrastructure, public realm, urban development, and renewable energy initiatives. With strong growth plans and a solid project portfolio, there is clear potential for career progression to senior leadership roles, including Associate and Director positions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead civil and environmental design teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Supervise and mentor both senior and junior team members.
- Prepare technical reports and tender documentation.
- Plan and manage design work, collaborating closely with Project Directors.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance systems, health and safety legislation, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with other team members to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Manage client relationships and project communications.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or a related field, with Chartered Engineer status.
- A minimum of 15 years’ post-graduate experience in design and project management.
- Experience with Oral Hearings is desirable.
- Strong multi-disciplinary design management experience.
- Proven ability in engaging with clients, external stakeholders, and sub-consultants.
- Experience in creating and managing project budgets.
- High-energy professional with excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Flexible, team-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings.
- Full driving licence.
