Project Engineer

Design Build Search is working with a leading engineering consultancy that has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Project Manager / Project Engineer to join their Project Management team in Dublin. This role is perfect for a professional with 4-7 years of experience in multidisciplinary project management, planning, and design, who is looking to take the next step in their career.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and driving team deliverables across multi-disciplinary projects.
• Making technical decisions and reviewing reports and documentation produced by others.
• Ensuring that deliverables from various teams align with the overall project scope.
• Managing the design and/or planning process.
• Preparing progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Regularly updating project development plans and charters.
• Chairing and taking minutes at meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Ensuring high-quality standards are maintained across all projects.

 
Desirable Skills / Attributes:

• Degree-level qualification in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience within a consultancy setting.
• Chartered or close to achieving Chartership status.
• Experience in delivering multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design, planning, tender preparation, and contract administration.
• A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently to meet project objectives.
• Experience managing multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project (or similar project management software).
• Strong technical design knowledge and excellent written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, especially in reviewing complex planning documents and designs.
