Setting-Out Engineer

Design Build Search are seeking a Setting-Out Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our client’s expanding team based in Dublin 12.

Our client is a well known Irish Main Contractor who has been delivering high quality Pharma, Commercial, New Build, and Fit-Out Construction projects since the late 2000’s.

Responsibilities:

• Set out and survey all assigned construction sites using surveying equipment
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Interpret construction plans and drawings and ensure that work is carried out to specification
• Provide technical advice and guidance to the construction team
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that all work is completed on time and to company standard
• Identify and resolve any issues that arise during construction
• Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and workforce productivity
• Provide training and guidance to team members as required.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress reports as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a Construction related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in the construction industry
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on Pharmaceutical, or Commercial New Build Construction
• Proficiency in the use of total station, GPS, laser level and other surveying equipment.
• Proficiency in the use of Autocad and associated programs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license

Renumeration:

• €50,000 – €60,000 (DOE)
