Senior Engineer

Design Build Search is seeking a Senior Engineer for a new build commercial project based in Port Laois.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years’ experience working with a local main contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical advice to the Project Manager and the broader team.
• Liaise daily with the project team, design team, and subcontractors.
• Conduct technical verifications of civil engineering designs, models, and drawings.
• Implement QA procedures, including concrete pre/post-pour checks, RFIs, and resolving technical issues.
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices on site.
• Monitor and record materials, plant, and logistics.
• Keep detailed records and produce regular reports.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience.
• Relevant third level Engineering degree.
• Proven track record in completing projects from concept to completion.
• Experience working with a main contractor.
• Strong initiative, self-motivation, and work ethic.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
• In-depth technical and practical knowledge of the construction industry.
