Safety Advisor – Civil Construction Southwest Ireland 
Working for a highly reputable Civil Construction Contractor, we have an exceptional opportunity for a Safety Advisor for the South West Region of Ireland. This role will support civil and utility projects on all safety matters. You will work closely with Site Managers and Project Managers and all associated project staff.
Roaming between different sites week to week you will have a forward thinking and progressive approach to safety. You will have a proven background of setting up teams for success and building professional trusted relationships. Passionate about safety and people, a collaborative approach is welcomed. Boasting an impressive portfolio of completed and ongoing work on landmark projects throughout Clare, Limerick and Tipperary. Responsibilities to include:

  • Assist Head of H&S in development and roll out of company Strategy.
  • Ensure workplaces are audited / risk reviewed in line with current safety legislation and standards.
  • Carry out weekly site safety inspections and audits.
  • Compiling and maintaining records and reports as part of the online EHS system.
  • Monitor Health and Safety performance within the Business Unit and prepare appropriate reports.
  • Identify learning and development requirements for yourself as well as those of staff who report to you, coaching staff at all levels in Health and Safety expectations and standards
  • Working knowledge of ISO and HSQE regulations and legislation for the construction sector.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a health and safety position within the construction industry
  • A third level qualification in health and safety/occupational health and safety.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, time management and organisation Skills
  • Full drivers licence and ability to drive for the role
