Safety Advisor – Commercial Building Construction
Galway
Working for a highly reputable Construction Contractor, we have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Safety Advisor for a project in Galway.This role will support the project delivery team on the project which is currently in the early stage of construction. You will work closely with Site Managers and Project Managers and all associated project staff.

Responsibilities to include:
- Assist Head of H&S in development and roll out of company Strategy.
- Ensure workplaces are audited / risk reviewed in line with current safety legislation and standards.
- Carry out weekly site safety inspections and audits.
- Compiling and maintaining records and reports as part of the online EHS system.
- Monitor Health and Safety performance within the Business Unit and prepare appropriate reports.
- Assist tender and prequalification teams where requested advising on Health and Safety submissions as well as helping provide practical solutions.
- Identify learning and development requirements for yourself as well as those of staff who report to you, coaching staff at all levels in Health and Safety expectations and standards
- Working knowledge of ISO and HSQE regulations and legislation for the construction sector.
Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a health and safety position within the construction industry ideally on commercial building construction projects
- A third level qualification in health and safety/occupational health and safety.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, time management and organisation Skills
