About the job:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will assist in designing Mechanical Services for projects from concept to completion, working under supervision with increasing autonomy. You’ll participate in site visits with senior engineers, contribute to project design files, and work towards a professional qualification. Key responsibilities include organizing information, upholding quality assurance, managing your time efficiently, and handling routine tasks as needed. Additionally, you’ll attend internal meetings and CPD sessions, leveraging your Microsoft Office experience while developing skills in relevant industry software.
About you:
•This role offers a hybrid remote arrangement in Ireland, requiring attendance at the Dublin office for at least 1-2 days each week based on the team’s schedule.
•4 or more years of industry experience in the field of mechanical building services with Data Centres, Industrial, High Tech, Commercial and/or Healthcare engineering projects.
• Knowledge and experience working with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks with exposure to mechanical layouts and systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of various mechanical systems such as heating, air conditioning, plumbing systems, etc.
• Familiar with structural, architectural, and electrical models to appreciate space limitations and interferences.
Your day-to-day activities:
- Work on assigned tasks under supervision with increasing independence.
- Participate in site visits alongside senior engineers.
- Contribute to the project design file.
- Progress towards a professional qualification.
- Effectively organise information and uphold quality assurance standards.
- Effectively manage your time and prioritise tasks independently.
- Handle repetitive tasks when necessary.
- Attend internal meetings and lunchtime CPD sessions.
- Locate relevant knowledge and resources as needed.
- Developing skills in relevant industry software.
