Health & Safety Consultant – Cork – 3 Month Contract 
A progressive and cutting edge Health & Safety Consultancy has an opportunity for a Health & Safety Consultant across various industries including construction and manufacturing in the Cork Region. Providing lots of support and training there is proven staff retention in the business and the opportunity to advance your career in safety. Working as part of a collaborative team you will be instrumental in servicing clients within a hybrid and traveling capacity. Possessing a family orientated approach to work and genuine interest in staff wellbeing there is security and career progression within the role. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a range of documentation in line with client’s requirements and expectations as per commercial agreements,
  • Review existing documentation and prepare reports of findings.
  • Conduct site inspections and EHS audits where required,
  • Develop/audit Safety Management Systems.
  • Assist in maintaining ISO standards on client’s behalf,
  • Act as Health and Safety Coordinator for PSCS.
  • Act as Health and Safety Coordinator for PSDP.
  • Advise clients of their legislative roles and responsibilities.
  • Liaise with Department Management and clients providing progress reports and updates.

To be Considered:

  • Hold a recognised level 8 qualification in Occupational or Environmental Health & Safety
  • At least 3-5 years’ health and safety experience, preferably with elements of consulting as well as safety officer/advisors duties,
  • Have a good understanding of legislation and ability to advise clients of their legal requirements. 
  • Experience in report writing and the development of Health and Safety documentation.
  • Experience in the Construction Industry is preferable.
  • Experience with the Environmental aspect of Health and Safety is preferable.
  • Experience within PSDP duties from previous projects is preferable,
  • Knowledge of Safety Management Systems is preferable.
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible across a range of projects and industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent literacy and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft and document control.
  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.
  • Full Clean Irish driver’s license.
